Dear Sally, thank you for that tip. I must say i have never tried it before, but since a load of my red onions have just started to bolt, i will be doing as you say, so thank you again.

Hi OH,
Sadly we do not hear often enough from Sally but the delight is that when we do it is always good sound gardening logic with the added bonus of many pearlers over a good few years.

Morning Johnboy, how agree with you, as with most things, but not with all.
Sally is certainly not as loud as me, but by the heck, her posts are of a lot more use.

so how did these sets do blinky
i recieved exactly same sets after ordering hyred , and wasnt told that they were substitutes ,planted them out and they all bolted , i emailed marshalls and they bluffed me with been a wet april has set them off to bolt , well thanks marshalls, will never bother with them again
