The slightest touch of frost this morning. Only the second time the temperature has hovered around zero so far this winter.

In my road car roofs and windscreens were white, but the sides just wet.
Elsewhere entire cars were white, but nowhere did I see ground frost.
All this before 7am.

No frost here but much much colder, lots of dew eveywhere dripping off all the trees, although its now turning into a nice sunny day, The dog is so cold after her walk that she has squeezed the cat out of his bed and got into his warm spot ......

Here in Carmarthenshire my weather station still hasn't registered an air frost this month. Nearly got there last night at 32.7 F but then it sort of misted/clouded over and even when it cleared it still refused to go any lower.

There was a rose bud which had been threatening to open for about a month, so cut it and brought it in and it is now fully opened and beautifully scented. With 2 other buds on the same stem we are hoping for more of the same!

Meanwhile White Eye Sprouting Broccoli is doing fine and, unfortunately, so are the Parsnips and the Rhubarb.

Yesterday and today have been amazing. There has been this strange light in the sky that we haven't seen for the weeks of continuous low cloud and drizzle mixed in with gales and hailstones. Met somebody when I was walking the dog who said she had just seen her shadow and wondered what it was at first. Today started with just a frost but I can live with that if it gives me some daylight.

That was beautiful Peter. Did you see Thursdays sunset, that was equally beautiful from the top of the hill near us.

Today has been a lovely day but I have been stuck in side ironing and cleaning the house. I had to force myself not to break off and go out into the garden to do some tidying. Anyway now that is done for the rest of the week I can go out to play tomorrow) when it will be too frozen to do any good. But at least it isnt raining.....

Well, today was only the second day since 1 December that there hasn't been some rain here (the only dry December day was Boxing Day). And what a grand day it was today - wall to wall sunshine after last night's gorgeous sunset and this morning's slight frost.

Outside, the snowdrops and winter aconites are just showing colour and in the cold greenhouse the delicate iris Katherine Hodgson and iris danfordiae are flowering beautifully. I always buy lots of colourful primulas from the market and they, together with the irises, provide such a cheerful spring picture and smell in the greenhouse.

Not so spring-like now - third frosty morning!

Mind you, looking round a couple of local churchyards yesterday I did spot daisies and the first lesser celandine

Fr..Fr..freezing here just got back from the dogs morning walk ....dont be fooled it looks lovely out there but its not a day to go out with out your gloves , The sun rise was stunning , Still back now and having my morning coffee back in bed .
There is a thick ice on the pond , all my daff's and tulips are trying to do a quick turn around and get back in there bulbs

Minus four here at six thirty am and minus one in Enfield.

I have a lone frog in my frozen pond who has to calling out for a mate fo the last week ..... still calling this morning ..even through his bits must be frozen off ....poor lad

Beautiful blue sky day here but chilly. Had a great big clear up outside and a huge fat bonfire of all the winter rubbish - hope the carbon dioxide brigade didn't notice the smoke.

Two miles down the road at Woburn, went down to minus 7 last night.
Thought my fingers felt a touch cold, putting on foofing sheets this morning....

The first day this year, my fridge at work was warmer than outside
