I'm purposefully reverting to more frugal ways as a personal protest really as I am horrified how prices are sneaking up nearly every week like we were all stupid and wouldn't notice!

I've got the sewing machine out to alter things, the mixer is back on the bench and I find myself comparing prices and not just going to my usual supermarket and I already have lottie. (I can't fix anything without an abundance of 'No Nails' so haven't gone that far yet.) :)

The surprise is I am loving it and am really chuffed at myself just for being more organised. The freezer is full and I'm trying all sorts of new recipes from the Internet. Haven't noticed too much change in the bank account due to the rising fuel prices etc so don't think the bank is as happy as me yet!

Hard times for a lot of people, worldwide, many folk have had enough and are fighting back. I am surprised no one here has mentioned the Occupy movement expanding world wide and in many of our major cities, the media suppresses it or derides it, but it is growing rapidly accross the globe..

re the Occupy Movement.

It's easy to see what they are against - a lot harder to discern what they are for.

There's an Occupy tent/market stall thing outside Sheffield Cathedral and I was trying to make out what they were actually doing it for. I'm still none the wiser. Did it start in America? I suppose I should look it up, but it seems to have the usual protest type people doing it.

I was looking after my grandchildren on a day that I didn't feel too well and we had a Tesco fish pie for dinner to conserve my energy. (My husband had bought it when he thought I might be ill enough for him to have to cook!) Suffice it to say - it was awful! So salty! Fortunately, they didn't like it either so it did them no harm.I thought - what about people who eat this rubbish all the time. What is it doing to their insides? What is it doing to their purses? So many people these days rely on ready cooked meals and they aren't good for them.
