Best wishes for your mum OH and she can come and wield our hoover any day. Does she like ironing?
Blowing a gale here again today as it was yesterday afternoon.

Dear All, thank you for all the kind wishes for my Mum, she will appreciate them when i tell her.
I can hardly believe this myself, but she is back home already.
She seems very bright and says the pain is a lot less, just a matter of trying to stop her overdoing it now.
She is a tough cooky.

Skeins of geese loudly announcing their migration now, definitely autumn.
I am always happy to see their return in the spring.

Hi OH,
I've just spent a lovely peaceful week at Lake Wolfgang in Austria, so I missed all the gales and bad weather
Best wishes to your mum

Dear P.J, so glad to read you had a pleasant week away, while we were getting battered by strong wind and gales....
I'll pass the best wishes on, thank you.

Hi NB,
I had a look around the plot this morning, and everything is standing up OK. I picked what looked like the last of the runners and climbing french, and have loads of borlotto beans to pick. The beans are on a ( hopefully ) permanent structure so it shouldn't blow away

After a couple of marginally summery days it was fair siling it down at times yesterday afternoon. And more likely today
