Snowing heavily just now and everything looks very pretty.
I'm glad I got my pruning with the chainsaw out of the way while it was dry. I've only just plucked up courage to use it but it was great. I just hope the frost hasn't got into the cuts. It was dry and mild for a few days after I'd done it. It is amazing how much more light it creates just removing a few branches.
I might sow a few broad beans in root-trainers in the greenhouse this afternoon so I feel as though I've done a bit of gardening.

I'm thinking my girlies might just want to play out when they get home from school

Lots and lots of lovely 'untrodden' snow to stomp through

Snowed heavily all morning but then the sun came out and most of it dropped off the trees though the dry stone walls and the ground are still white.
I walked to the allotment this morning to push the heavy snow off the netting over the brassica bed and am glad I did that because the canes and posts holding it up (the bed is about 25'x25') were already bending. I wish, though, I had taken a camera because the snow-covered netting with points where the canes and posts were, looked just like a Bedouin tent city!
Clear skies now, ready for a frost tonight!

The snow started to go this afternoon...then it started to fall again and by home time the roads were pretty rough.
Currently stopped snowing and just below zero C.
Clive.

Sunny most of the day & 3.5c - shame I'm working!

(PS clear sky tonight so no snow but expect a heavy frost at the least!)

Looks like it's our turn for the snow this time. Met Office
red warning for parts of mid-Wales - not often you see one of them

Morning Alan, have you been out there with the snow shovel, since first light?
No snow here yet, but the wind has a little bite to it.

Morning OH
Rain at first light, then fine settling snow sitting on the ground as a vile wet sludge

Sounds horrid, Alan......
Snowing heavily here now!
Just been sorting out one of these wretched condensing boilers for someone, the outlet for the steam had frozen up, making the boiler cut out. They really are a pain. Anyway, they are up and running again, so i'm in good books.
