Now that brightens up the dullest of days.

Lets hope you find many more like her, to take your mind off the weather, while you are on your holidays

Morning Donedigging, the weather will be fine.
And as long as the people are kind, i don't mind what they look like.
It's rather cloudy here this morning, with rain promised for late this afternoon, and by the heck do we need it.

Don't be too sure
Four words in Welsh belong together: Eisteddfod Genedlaethol bwrw glaw
Three in English: National Eisteddfod raining
Starts tomorrow and goes on all next week

Now that July's over a quick calculation on the rain. Only seven days out of 31 without rain. Ten hours continuous yesterday, raining again today since 10 o'clock.

It has largely remained dry as dust over here in the East..great cracks in the ground and very brown lawns like 1995....possibly browner than that.?
We did at last manage to get a drop of rain last night...5.5mm...

..now it needs to hold off and be sunny again for NGS day on Sunday...
Clive.

Looks as though August is setting out to rival July here
Fine on the 1st and 2nd then rain daily; wet this morning and forecast for next five days
Relieved to have dug all my potatoes on the last dry day in July, otherwise they would now likely be a rotting, blighted mess in the ground.

Fine for NGS open day..300 visitors....
Rains came on Wednesday morning...12mm...enabled us to light up the bonfire which had got to silly proportions during the very dry spell...when we just dare not light it.
Also enabled a good greenhouse tidy up..although in one it was nearly raining as much inside as out.... but anyway it has a nice display of large Begonia on the stepped shelving now.

..
Clive.

Nice steady rain here this morning, a very welome sight indeed.
That was a good turn out for the NGS open day Clive!
Word must have got out about the popular new head gardener.

Hoping that what's outside the windows here at work will move north northeast thirty miles and stay there for a while.
It's persisting it.

Morning Alan, it is right at the present, as the sun has just burst out in it's full glory.
I really have fell in love with North Wales, and i feel a yearning to return one day.
And that includes taking in Chwilog once again.
Must put the picture of my whirlwind visit to Chwilog on the forum soon.

Here in Bedford 20mm in mid-July, then 2 mm then 4mm, both near the end.
Aug so far 1.5 and 5 during week 1 and 5mm so far this week [last night and today]. So my water-butts at home are full but not on the lottie, where we'll be strainig at the Whale-Gusher Titan water-pump for days to come.

We are meant to be getting a scary amount of rain tonight, there's talk of between two and three inches.
Glad i put a bit more bracken on the roof.
