Morning all, i've just swept my chimney since it isn't the most perfect of mornings.

Anyway, i went to check if i had got the brush out of the top, which it was by a full rod, but i noticed next doors ducks were going mad at the sight of it. I had a word with my neighbour, and he reckons they do that whenever i sweep it, i wonder what they think it is. :?

Whilst on about thier ducks, which are big white ones with browny flecks, not sure of the breed. Anyhow they haven't bothered to shut them up at night for at least the last six months.
Every night we have a fox round in the garden, but it has never touched them, i find this most srange as the fence is only about three foot tall. :?

Dear Jopsy, i bet Lily is growing up fast, has she seen what snow looks like yet, as we haven't had much in the last few years.

I did think of you a few weeks ago as they were getting a new teacher at our local primary school, and they are like one big happy family there, you would have fitted in nicely.

What do you think of this new well behaved Old Herbaceous then.

Depends how long OH lives I guess. If, as I suspect, he's only 29, we could be in for a long haul...

Dear Chantal, when i was 29 i'm afraid the forum would have been the last thing on my mind, i was a bit of a handful. Amazing how the years can tame the toughest of people.

Not sure what the arrow is meant to be for, but im using it to show i've moved on in life. :)

Dear Pongeroon, sometimes in life there are things that you have to put behind you.

But there was the time when i was in Somerset, i had my leather bike jacket on and went into a pub there, only to find that it was full of skinheads, all i can say all hell broke loose, but i did manage to walk out of the door without to much damage. i didn't get a pint though.

Dear OH... you reminded me of an incident about six years ago. I was going out to a society meeting where some of the people smoked....I had become fed up with getting home with my clothes smelling like an ashtray

I dug around in the wardrobe and found my old biker's leather jacket (cost me the princely sum of £6. 2. 6d back in the late fifties)... the thought was that it wouldn't absorb so much of the odour.
When I came downstairs wearing it my Governor thought it was hilarious and accused me of going through my third mid-life crisis... its still in the wardrobe...I haven't the heart to get rid of it
