Thanks for that OH, I'll have to keep an eye out for that variety as it would do for the school patch as well - you're a star :).

BTW I can't see Clives avatar either.

On this machine the avatar only seemed to disappear this morning..I spotted it when I posted...perhaps someone has eaten my cookies. :? most likely because they were caramel digestives..my favourite..

Hopefully fixed with a "new" one added,

Thank you,
Clive. :)

I suspect it could well be the cookie thief...in his days of crunching on rusks..
I seem to be doing a little piece to camera on a new water feature. :) ...at my Mums Cousins over at Whitwick, Leics...a location that helped catalyse some of my gardening interests...there were some lovely old white wooden greenhouses there that very sadly were in a state of tumbling down due to mining subsidence....but one was still in use with a raised brick border filled with all manner of interesting plants...and a couple of goldfish in a water tank.....
........and a shed full of lawnmowers.. :)

Digging has progressed a little more...this was this mornings effort and a bit more was completed until too dark at 4:45pm.

Top left had been the Strawberry nursery bed for 3 years and was a bit heavy. The next section was much nicer going as I started on where the Broad Beans and Early Onward Peas had been in 2012.

Called at work this pm...and the seed order has arrived. :)

Frosty with lovely coloured sky this morning. Just what I like, a clear committed forecast:
UK Outlook for Sunday 27 Jan 2013 to Sunday 10 Feb 2013:
There is greater than average uncertainty through this period, with no strong signal for any one weather type to dominate. However, on balance colder, drier conditions are more favoured rather than the milder, wetter weather experienced so far this winter.

As OH says, it will either........

I think I would favour colder, drier conditions...wonder what we will actually get. :?: ...but not too cold, please...

Just a very light dust of snow, currently, on my digging.

Clive.

Our part of North Lincolnshire has only seen a few flakes of snow. Nothing on the ground yet though. Cold and damp this morning but Himself is hoping for more snow so he can go play in my car ;)

A bit of sleety snow so far tonight but more is forecast. I dug in the dense green manure on the vegetable bed at home yesterday (a bit of sun at last!), so, hopefully, the low temperatures forecast for this week will start to break down the clods.

The bulk seed potatoes for the allotment arrived yesterday (Kestrel, Sante, Sarpo Mira) and I also bought smaller numbers of Rocket and Anya to be grown in pots and bags. They will stay in open bags in the frost-free garage for a bit before going into the greenhouse for chitting.

The sight of a bit of snow would make a welcome change from our perpetual rain
