Very quiet on here lately - everyone out panic buying

I am locking the garage every time I go out as I've filled the can for the mower.

Off to take my spade for a bit of posing later. There is a local community project to bring world class broadband to the sticks where BT fear to tread and it is the official dig launch later today.

"Hope you are all looking forward to the start of the dig tomorrow. (1pm at Jubilee tower http://maps.google.com/maps?q=jubilee+t ... m&t=m&z=13). This is a ceremonial event and the more people who come the more fun it will be. We think it will take an hour or so to get everyone to the dig site from the road at Jubilee tower. We can give lifts to anyone who can't walk that far or a very limited number can take their cars down to the farm. The distance from the road is about 400 metres down a farm track. Please wear suitable clothes/footwear, this is one of the most beautiful places in the country but it can get very cold up there.

Please bring spare spades if you have any for those who are coming by train. Please make sure you mark them with your name! We want to line everyone up and take a photo of a community in action - this is an exercise to raise awareness and get this dig off to a flying start.

The mayor is arriving at 1.45 at the farm, and the ceremony with very short speeches will be at 2pm. There will be plenty of opportunity to talk to the committee and the route walkers and to ask questions. There will be ducting to look at and also the equipment which will be installed in your property. There will be tea in the Rec (signposted) all afternoon and anyone who has time please bring traybakes or buns, you can't beat a bit of cake!

Popped into Porthmadog yesterday morning. All quiet at the garages: first one £20 limit, biggest one run out, Tesco ---- as much as you want and no queue!

Rain, snow and gales on the peninsula this morning

Makes me smug I did all the Easter jobs a week to ten days ago

I always feel a little smugness is not a bad thing!

Well we seem to have missed all the gloom and doom, they, were predicting.

I've often wonder who, "they", are.....

5 inches of snow and a blizzard at the moment. The blossom is peeping out of its covering and the lovely daffodils are flattened. Good old British weather!
