That's a very puzzled look. I think heavy snow is only exciting when you're a five year old.
Just miserable drizzle here.

Our local Wyevale is a relatively small outlet by comparison to a lot of Wyevale outlets and they have got pallet load upon pallet load of their own brand multi purpose compost, I would suggest a whole lorry load in fact.
All out in the car park, all wrapped in pallet wrap. Not a single pack actually on sale and not a price ticket in sight.

There were no open or split bags so unable to make any observations of the product itself

75lt bag (so bigger than a lot of the well known brands)
£6.99 per bag ... 2 for £11

Haven't really compared current prices of major brands but my immediate impression is that this isn't particularly cheap

Snowing like mad this morning. I'm glad I pruned, dug and manured the rose bed yesterday. Even managed to take a car load of prunings to the dumpit site. Weeded and dug two beds and unearthed some ornamental paths that had disappeared under the vegetation. Exhausted so good to have to stay in. Preparing room to decorate instead.

I think Pa Snip must be getting a little bored on the DIY front now the Hen House is up and running so here's a little project for him to get working on for the Amenities Area of his plot. If he gets cracking on it soon, it might just be ready in time for his renowned breakfast summer barbeques. And very eco friendly for all the bugs and insects with all those logs to hide away in ! :D

I wont name names but back in December I took out a subscription to a alternative gardening magazine as part of my Christmas gifts to my daughter.

Finally, on Thursday 3rd March her first copy dropped through her letterbox. Great timing to deliver a Christmas gift !!!!!!

Of course none of the 10 packets of seeds that were offered at the time I took out the subscription turned up but hey, lets be grateful for small mercies.

Thank you for a very thoughtful suggestion. The set would be most useful

There is one fundamental snag though I'm afraid

To produce that set I would need to 'log on' far too many times :D

Lot's of relevant free seeds in this month's KG mag again - like the fact they are all sow March onward as well even though mag is technically April!

(I got all mine out without a paper cut as well Dan Numbers - first aid advice for the benefit of Pa is suck cut & get on with it). That's qualified degree nurse response though - you might get more sympathy from first aider! :D

Yep Good times on their way! Growing season is very near! The itch is very strong but the weather is against any scratching!

Mrs Snip is qualified first aider for very well known company, however I am not going to risk packing her off to see anyone by name of Daniel Radcliffe in Sheffield branch in case she succumbs to his magic wand

The Nigel & Nell Show

Did anyone else notice the camera operator being distracted on the Nigel & Nell Show on Friday night.

Nigel is going to have his work cut out there.
