Today we were very grateful to be here after having a motor accident yesterday and spending our Easter having multiple Xrays. Looking forward to a bright and positive summer with our first crops.

Thanks!
Yes I was thrown off the back of our motorbike but thankfully no serious injuries, just lots of v painful bits that will bruise eventually. My hubby to be (he proposed in A&E...) is also unscathed.
Safety clothing - wouldn't be without it!!

Thanks very much everybody for your good wishes! we'll see how we get on over the next few weeks but grateful no bones broken!
Bikes probably a write off sadly... I'll be concentrating on the garden/greenhouse whilst the search happens for another one.

Tidying up - imposed house arrest.

I am the world's messiest person and I did say I would do some tidying up during my recent 2 weeks leave - but I didn't, although I did manage a whole day's ironing. Spent the other 13 days in the garden.

Went back to work last Monday, promising to do something about my clothes mountain, magazine mountain, book mountain and several other mountains over the BH weekend. Got to this morning, having spent the last 3 days gardening and had to do mountaineering. Trouble is - most of it looks worse now than it did when I started.

Can anybody send me a magic wand or a filing fairy please?

Whilst we have several of the latter here, I do not think they would want to leave Islington or Hornsey!

I know what you mean Tigger. The mountains in my house seem to be growing since I got a computer.[about as fast as my weeds] And seeing I'm the house hubby I better get my act together. The other half doesn't moan to much, bless her.

Space in the greenhouse at last with 195 tomato and chilli plants shipped out to a friend for her polytunnels.

I pricked out cape gooseberry, aubergine (kind gifts) and some more flowers today that were kind gifts, the flowers being for the cutting garden part of the plots. On the plots I dug a bed for the second time ready for planting peas tommorow and got my summer cabbages ready for planting out as well, netting at the ready to keep the flying rats off.
