.....wrestling bubble insulation.
1)Move plants into cold greenhouse that will take it.
2)Shift bench.
3)Take down bubble on one side of heated house
4)Put back bench and move plants from other side to that side.
5)Move other bench, take down rest of bubble.
6)Put back bench ready for new seedlings.
7)Take bubble onto lawn, indulge in a little light hang-gliding before rolling it up,(surely the roll was never THAT big)tie it up with string and stuff it into garage till next autumn.

Come off it Carole, removing the bubble wrap from the greenhouse is one of the most enjoyable jobs in the Spring. It means we are going in the right direction, the days are getting longer, stuff's growing. It won't be long before you are planting the seedlings out and start harvesting. It's an optimistic time. You're going to have a better year than last year (hopefully).
It's putting the bubble wrap up in the Autumn I hate. It means you're shutting down for a cold dark Winter!!
Look on the bright side for six months.
Best wishes,
valmarg

Catching up with all the allotmenteers brought on by early sunshine.
Planting out onion sets, peas and garlic.
Putting post & wire on last two rows of raspberries.
Assembling a Blackwall Compost Saver.
Going home to escape the increasingly heavy showers, which watered my transplanted strawberries for me .

Today I planted out some over winter onions. That have been sulking in a module try. They should have gone out early October. But never seemed to get round to it.
Wonder how they'll turn out.

That sounds really interesting Zena.
I've wanted to join something like that for a while. My love of history goes from Anglo Saxon/Viking etc up till the end of the reign of Elizabeth 1. I've heard of a group that was up in the North East somewhere called Rent A Peasent who do all kinds of stuff.
My interst in in the socio economic bits but the whole thing fascinates me. I'm one of those who reads history text books for pleasure!!!
