Help can anyone help me get my icons back on the desktop?

I'm not sure what I did wrong to loose them, I'm not very well up on the computer, fine while every thing is working as it should.
Thanks

Hello Bren
I'm afraid I can't help but I know a 'man' who can!
Try 'googling' your problem and you'll find that you're not the first person to experience this. There are lots of solutions there - my advice is to try the simplest ones first.
Good luck.

John I had already googled but it didn't help, my granddaughter's partner came on Sunday and had a look at it and after a few minutes he said I hadn't lost them they were HIDDEN so all is well now.
Thank you

Bren.
