Well now, off work to day, had a turn this morning :? Felt better by lunch time, so, I had a wander round my patch and green house. Its amazing, I have not been so attentive this year and yet all are doing the best ever, that all repeats . . .

New stock; Brassicas have been mixed, Greyhound cabbage, lovely flavour, caterpillars are a pain. Broccoli, its up, but wont seem to sprout, just one plant sprouted out of 12?

Tomatoes; Sungold, an Italian plum and 'Pineapple' are romping away, the outside Pineapple seems to be doing better than the ones in the greenhouse?

This has been the surprise of the season, bought the seeds as a fun thing, planted seedling, nothing moved . . . then suddenly, its up in amongst the grapevine, fruiting like its the end of the world. For fun, any one recognise it . . . ???? The biggest fruits are currently around 66mm dia., will they get bigger?

Grapes best ever this year, sweet with a lovely acid bite!

By the way, I have had it said, 'Pineapple' does not taste like a tomato :( . . . true its a bit ordinary raw. We used it sliced, as a topping to a pizza the other day, cooking brings out the taste, superb favour

Hi CJS, well it looks like cucumber flowers, and prickles, some weird cucumber lol ?
Whatever it is is doing well. My grapes are very nearly ripe, not quite as dark as yours but weighing down the vine.
Sit down before a fact as a little child, be prepared to give up every preconcieved notion, follow humbly wherever and to whatever abyss nature leads, or you shall learn nothing.

You are right 'Natures Babe', it is a cucumber, called 'Crystal Apple', I have tried an early one, very fresh flavour, it will be interesting to see how the fully developed fruit tastes. They say its matures at the size of a small apple, so this weekend . . . :D

I improved my grapes this year by going in and removing the bunches that were crowding each other. Much bigger, fleshy grape, I think remove more next year?
