Dear glallotments, i'm sure i don't know what will happen to me on judgement day, i'm sure the old fellow up above won't want me, and i not convinced the old boy down below will want me either. :?
Maybe i'll be made to come back to earth as a grumpy old git as punishment. :)

Forgot to say, i'm just listening to some opera on radio 3, how the years can alter ones outlook on life.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

Morning all, now i have been up a good while this morning, mentally building myself up for the Christmas shopping trip to Central Milton Keynes. :x
Now this is one job i have to admit i don't really look forward to, i just feel a bit like a duck out of water.
I don't know if it's something to do with the funny looks i get, when i'm walking through the lingerie department of John Lewis, with dried soil coming out of my workboot treads, or if it's when i'm paying for an item with saved up bags of loose change, while there's a big queue of people waiting to pay with those magic plastic card things.

Now who will i buy some dusters for this year! :)

Wish me luck.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

Morning Geoff, this is my new prompt and efficient attitude to Christmas shopping. But i do miss the old days of a good session down the local pub with all the old boys Christmas Eve lunchtime, then off shopping to look at lots of emty shelves, made for some very interesting presents.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

OH. good luck with the Christmas shopping, rather you than me, I don't need any dusters a pair of gardening gloves would be nice pink ones then I could find them easily. Perhaps you got funny looks being in the wrong department. I had to go into B'ham city yesterday not for shopping, took one look at the crowds and got out of there quickly.

Dear Bren, got it all done and even came back with, what i was after, now that must be a first for me. It wasn't as busy as i as dreading, so not too bad, although not as nice as at the N.E.C last Saturday. I didn't tell you about me going there Bren, just incase you got a bit nervous with me being up your neck of the woods. :)

I have just been looking through a Plant World Seeds catalogue 2010 that i was given, when i came across a leek called Blue Solaice, it has quite an outstanding difference to most leeks, it reads, "The blue-green flags turn violent after a cold spell", now that did make me laugh. :)

The catalogue does have a very good and unusual selection of Tomatoes though. www.plant-world-seeds.com

Hello Old H',

We had a chuckle at that when we saw it in our catalogue. :) ..

Meanwhile today I have spent much of the day digging out a cattle grid with a long handled trowel into a bucket thence to 3 loads in the Muck Truck...I must have been a bad lad to get that job :?
Having said that the job has not been done for 17+ years  ..so not so bad...and I did volunteer for the task...and I avoided raking leaves.

Clive.

Evening Clive, were there many bones in there, as they can be death traps to many animals.
Well done to you for sticking at the task. :)

Once a year. :)
