Having started the least favourite things thread I'm beginning to feel like a MOG (miserable old git). I'm not. There are many more things that give me joy than things which make me cringe.
Here are a few ( ) for starters - apart from the first 4 in no particular order:
Waking up alive every morning
45 years of happy marriage
Hearing the cocks crow at 4.30 am
Never eating an egg more than 2 days old
Speaking Welsh and feeling a link to the Britons who were here when the Romans came and long before the Angles, Saxons, Normans etc. arrived
Sunflowers
The first picking of any vegetable I like
Welsh Black beef
Blackberry pie/jam
Kitchen Garden Forum
My polytunnel and being able to pick something fresh every day of the year
My yellow Ford van
Clematis montana
Sungold tomatoes
A freshly caught live lobster
Bob Dylan
Raw courgette salad
New potatoes
Free-range turkey
Welsh saltmarsh lamb
Damsons
Glasfryn bacon
Japanese bunching onions

My critters (2 springers 2 cats)
Coming home after holidays
Meeting up with friends
Good Food
Good Wine
White chocolate
Flowers
The sea - wild or calm

Alan, you are far from being a MOG, I love your posts.
As well as oysters, I like:-
motorbikes (my own best of all)
Dublin Bay roses
silk
my Fine Young Man
the unexpected (if its quirky, not the scary sort)
weeding
kindness
home-made meringues
zombie films (send more paramedics!)
ancient woodlands
vikings
minimalism

School holidays because the roads are freed up when the school run cars are parked up and I can get from A to B in reasonable time.

The song of Blackbirds
The smell at Traction Engine Rallies, when they are "coaling up"
A good book
Chocolate
This forum
Walking barefoot
My husband's custom motorbike
Riding pillion on said motorbike
Laughing till my sides ache
My husband's mad sense of humour
Receiving a hand written letter by "snail mail" (sadly a rare thing these days)
Birdwatching
Spiders
The smell of freshly ground coffee...though I don't like to drink it
A cup of tea when I'm really thirsty
Far too many more to list....
Cheers!

The smell of Tarmac being laid.
The roar of a fighter jet
Tea with fresh milk after being abroad
Cool water gurgling down your throat on a hot day
That first anticipated pint stood at the bar after a long walk to the pub on a warm day
As someone said before the smell of a newly born baby
Blue Sky and white fluffy clouds,
My i-pod
Liqourice Allsorts, (only Basset's though)
Newly tilled soil on the plot
Watching one of of my ten year old Sea Cadet class getting their first badge.
The wonder of the internet
A swiss army knife
My kelly kettle
Oh and so much more.....................
