I hAVE A SURPLUS OF PURPLE SPROUTING BROCOLLI.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO FREEZE IT AND WOULD I NEED TO BLANCHE IT FIRST, AND IF SO FOR HOW LONG.

Hi,

That is one of my jobs today. Tons of the lovely stuff. I've done both, just rinsed and dried it and bagged it up, or a quick dunk in boiling water, patted dry on kitchen paper and bagged up in meal size portions. They both work well. I would just be careful not to blanch it for too long if you decide to do that as it will just be very soggy when you cook it to eat.
