A very happy New year to my favourite forum member Old Herbacious, oh thats me, how embarrassing. 
Like Alan i kept getting error 403 on the other happy new year thread, not sure if Alan and i are being censored.
Well a very happy New Year to all my friends and their families on the K.G, hope you all have the best of growing seasons.

Can I just put in a very curmudgeonly (is there such a word?) note: my beloved and I saw the New Year in with an old lady down the road and watched the London fireworks on the TV: wasn't it disgustingly over the top? Ok, the first few minutes it was spectacular but it went on, and on, and on ... and I was counting the £££ as they shot up into the air, producing a fair bit of pollution into the bargain. Do we have to throw our money about like that?
