I have just emptied tumbling tomatoes and nasturtiums from some hanging baskets and was wondering if there is anything edible I could plant in them over winter?

how about some lettuces - something winter hardy like Winter Density... or any winter salad like mizuna, mibuna, claytonia.

Thanks folks. It was a bit of a long shot. I have two baskets with alpine strawberries in so I might try a mixture of lettuces. I was planning to keep a succession going both on the plot and undercover anyway so that will just be an alternative. I guess I could bring them in when it's really cold. Hmm...food for thought, as it were!
