Christmas is coming

It's all my fault. We bought some RNLI Christmas cards from their charity stall at a sailing regatta last week-end. But I promise I won't write them out or post them until the week before Christmas. I expect by that time they will have been filed away in such a safe hiding place that we'll never be able to find them.

Yes the years flash by. Here our stapped for cash council decided to leave the christmas lights up (but not on) for the whole year. And some of those incredibly decorated private houses have done the same. So we have a 365/24/7 year christmas on the high street and the estates. Scarey how some might lose the sense of season - which is one reason why gardeners do what we do to stay in touch with the important things.
