The vegetable waste compost heap is progressing well but I was wondering how I can deal with other food waste which crops up, most notable meat based left overs which can't be re-used :?: we've suffered from furry vermin in the past so don't want to risk anything lying around to tempt them :?

Hi Sarah

If you have a look on the General Chatter forum there's a thread there on something called a Bokashi. An alternative is a green cone. If you Google this you'll find lots of information. Basically you can compost meat waste but it needs a completely enclosed system.
