I am looking to buy a couple of blueberry plants to keep in pots on the patio. I have looked at Marshalls and they have Ozark Blue and Bluecrop. Does anyone have any suggestions as to the best plants to get for a garden in Sussex
Thanks

We recieved on free blueberry bush from a magazine offer (Bluecrop) and then also bought one from the Dorset Blueberry Co. The free one was tiny and produced only a handful of berries this year but the other one came as a substantial size plant and gave us more berries. Another plot holder bought his from Ken Muir and they seem to have done well also. It seems if you want fruit next year buy from somewhere that specialises in fruit and sells descent sized plants. Also more specialised sellers offer advice on which types are best suited to your conditions and which ones go well with each other. The Dorset Blueberry Co. had a lot of useful info on their website also.

Thanks for that advice which I read. I've just ordered a Chandler bush from them: apparently they grow to around 1.7 metres tall and crop very well. I have 5 other bushes planted this year - soil+compost + azalea feed.. plus more compost in garden. So far doing v well
