Catherine, I have found that the universe generally tells us, or helps us decide when it’s time to finish or start something important, like leaving your allotment for example. We knew that my parents were moving to Dorset in 2018, and that we’d have to give ours up. That summer there was a terrible storm that completely blew our greenhouse in, it was crumpled, totally destroyed. It kind of helped me see that it was the right time, I also had to say goodbye to my beloved Triumph Herald, which had been sat at the back of the garden for years. It was time, and we cleared that bit of garden to make a small veg plot at home. Good luck with yours! I hope it goes Ok. At least you have some time to move plants home if you need to.

Regards playing music on plot, I used a small radio then changed it to a headphone with built in radio.
Never had any complaints from other plot holders just for my comfort, plus its great when mowing the lawn.
