I'm struggling a little with the new forum, I was just getting used to the original forum.
Kind regards

I asked at the time about the birthdays, I have noticed an occasional one pop up, it's just that the "logo" isn't there all the time now like it used to be.
After investing in the new software upgrade, it's a shame they don't push the forum a bit more in the magazine though, but on previous experience of helping run a gardening forum for a magazine, I know the problem is that magazine management are all young people nowadays and they live on farcebook and twatter and have no interest in ancient forums.

I also used to own and run a large forum for several years (more than 20 years ago, even before Google!). When FeckBook came along, it pretty much destroyed that. Suddenly everyone could have their own group and do their own thing on FB. My busy, active and lively forum splintered all different ways onto FB. Same happened to other places I used to frequent.tigerburnie wrote: ↑Fri Dec 02, 2022 11:57 am After investing in the new software upgrade, it's a shame they don't push the forum a bit more in the magazine though, but on previous experience of helping run a gardening forum for a magazine, I know the problem is that magazine management are all young people nowadays and they live on farcebook and twatter and have no interest in ancient forums.
I don't like FB. It's not just because their existence wrecked my little business, it's mainly because I don't trust them. It's also because everything online seems to revolve around them. In many places where you just want to sign in and do whatever it is you went there for in the first place you get asked if you want to sign in via FB.
NO I DO NOT! I don't use FB, perhaps I'm just a contrary old lady but my life doesn't revolve around FB because I don'use it. So there!

I don’t use facebook either, there always seems so much to do, without going on there…

I have sent an email to the admin, no idea what the response will be just before Christmas, but if you have any concerns, maybe list them here so they can find them should they come to look.
