Gave one of my chili plants away it performed well giving loads of green/red chili's but they had no heat or flavour.

Anybody had experience of this and possible cause?

Sometimes over watering seems to cause this, Colin2016….

What variety were they?
Been gardening for over 65 years and still learning.

Jalapeno or long slim not sure which.

New to me, not that I grow many and Hungarian Hot Wax are not that hot despite the name and the milder Anaheim and Cayenne Peppers are all ok this year, even when used green they are tasty enough.
Been gardening for over 65 years and still learning.
