Our allotment water supply is via horse troughs.
I make sure the colonizing water weed doesn't get completely removed, as it keeps the water "sweet" and clear, have had water boatmen in one of them every now and then.

More room in the greenhouse now the peas are finished, that experiment worked very well.

Wow! Looking grand! Must remember to take some pics tomorrow when down, but the potential heat stroke may interfere with all the plans except watering!

5 packets of seed, all different varieties sown in succession, so hopefully we will be eating them in smallish quantities, last year I left them in the ground and covered them with fleece and they lasted right through the winter, quite a lot went into carrot cake as well as dinners and soups.

It was 31C on the plot & 40.4C in the tunnel today so it was a short visit & nothing done in the tunnel except water. I did manage to clear the 1st E spud bed so will be down tomorrow to plant the kale as it is getting pot bound. We have a yellow warning for thunder storms overnight - fingers crossed. The long & short of it was no photos again! Whoops!

Stayed indoors most of today, 46 in the greenhouse and 35 in the garden was just too much for me! I've been out to water this evening, the strawberries were looking a bit droopy.

Main crop spuds are happy, lost the front courgette in the big wind in pic 2, but new sow is up, but squash obviously happy. Pic 3 showing climbing French beans did not like the breeze but dwarf beside having finally fought off the mice & runners are liking the shelter of the tunnel & working out the climbing of the hazel sticks! Not great in comparison to previous years but I will have crops!
