Usually I'd be waiting for the sunny days by now. Today was the hottest early april day ever measured and not a single cloud to be found. I'm already trying to keep the potted plants and seedlings moist, daily... I really hope this doesn't predict extreme drought again this summer, the trees will not survive without our help...

And to think about it that last weak we were complaining about the heavy rainfall!

Looks like OH is either still in the queue or he got it wrong and cook has "dealt with him most severely"!
Do not put off thanking people when they have helped you, as they may not be there to thank later.

Today is ironically supposed to be "World Health Day".
One can only hope that with all the horrible Coronavirus happening all around us that anybody who managed to get out into their garden or plot in the lovely sunshine we've had here will have ended the day feeling a little saner for having had some worthwhile and positive activity to indulge in.

I was pretty cool about 'The Virus' & my risk being low as going to lottie with natural social distancing & work in the NHS without hazards! But then other folk thought Sunbathing was considered 'exercise' & we might loose this special place if they don't behave this long weekend! I'm up for a big shouting match with them! What you reckon? Challenge or not? I'm going for it as they bloody know it is wrong!

They are not worth the challenge, you will only get abuse.

I we get locked down further then use shopping for food as reason for going to allotment.

Tiger, will you see anyone? Or more pertinently, will anyone see you? I'm sure you will be quiet, remote and discreet.

Dear Diane,
Thank you for my birthday picture ! It just shows how more advanced you are down where you live as apposed to here when we have Daffodils still to bloom. Yet we have done a mass planting of brassicas and then had a panic because a frost was forcast and managed to cover with fleece and on the morning of the 7th we had a -3C frost.
Wonderful cheering photo which is what we all need when in isolation. Do keep them coming if you can.
Sincerely,
JB.

Hello Johnboy...and all :)

I riddled out some compost this morning....tipped it in front of the garage ready to mix....

Then I remembered a photo of old....

The shovel against the door is the very same one.....It's had a new handle and a bit of weld since the days of monochrome.
