Hi Chaps. Just wanted to wish all our forum regulars a very happy Easter from all on the KG team. Looks like the weather is set fine for gardening so we hope you have a great time in the garden - or perhaps visiting someone else's. Cute as they are, may the bunnies keep away from your carrots.

Great outdoor weather in prospect for the rest of the month. Enjoy it.

Bring it on! Well, maybe after I buy some more factor 30 sunscreen. Note to self do not leave it in the shed regardless of the use by date! :)

Happy Easter everyone. Isn't it strange to be saying Easter is going to be the hottest weather since February.

Greetings to all. I suspect Easter 2019 may be one of those rare years where I lend up gardening in my shorts!

On a more serious note, I watched David Attenborough's narrated programme on Climate Change last night and in the years ahead, this may not be such a rare event going forward. Some serious issues for us all to think about, and take small actions whenever we can,to make our own contribution to slowing the tide.

Just fitted an extra water butt - just in case we have another heatwave. Trying to plan ahead and cut down on the number of pots to water. It's not working, btw - due to lack of self control whilst visiting the garden centre.

Know the feeling Diane ! Digging in a generous handful of water retention crystals deeper down into the compost does help reduce the watering I think. We have four water butts and their levels are rapidly do 8nishing.
Going to have to connect up the hosereel again this weekend though. Some of my plants looks as if they're in real distress from lack of moisture, especially the azaleas. Why is it that the darned weeds still keep coming though ??
