Since things are ticking on inthe year, I thought, why not......
Looking out of the window this morning, it looks quite magical outside. A sprinkling of snow and everything with a coating of frost...

We too had a good frost, clear blue sky today with snow forecast for later
Been gardening for over 65 years and still learning.
It did look pretty this morning with hawfrost on all the vegetation and especially on cobwebs, lit up by bright sunshine. The hard frost should have killed off a few bugs too and broken down the clods of soil on the dug beds.
On something totally different: our grandson had the cancerous tumour removed from his pleura yesterday in a five hour operation and he is bearing up well. Because of all his hiking before the operation, the pre-op team declared him in excellent health, well, except for the cancer .... They found two more iffy bits but are pretty sure they are not cancer cells but scar tissue from his previous collapsed lung operations.

Good news Monika. i thinks it,s true that people in a fit regularly exercised condition recover better from surgery. Fingers crossed that everything has been discovered and removed and he's soon back to good health.

The tropical has fell out of the equation for the south of England after last nights weather shenanigans! There must have been a whole 2" of snow on the beach & it didn't get above 2 degrees today. (I know - total catastrophe)! Now I am not a hardy weathered soul designed for the cold & certainly not actual real snow. It appears not many Southerners are, even though the majority did not originate from proper tropical climates, they obviously just had too many long holidays abroad I suppose? I would volunteer to be hardened up & see the 'real deal' from you Northerners - but before you all offer I think I shall just crank up the heating for a bit!
