Santa's connection to Kitchen Garden magazine & forum

It may be tenuous but there is a loose link between this post and Kitchen Garden publication.

On Friday 21st December Ma Snip and I took our 6yr old grandson and his parents to see a santa special.

The danger when people start to believe their own publicity is that they often fall off their own ego.

The link is that we were visiting the Mid Hants Railway which for decades has been known as 'The Watercress Line'

Not so many growers in that part of the world now but once upon a time wagon loads of watercress used to leave by rail every day for shipment to London and all parts of the UK, even abroad.

A good trip out, staff and volunteers at railway made it a very enjoyable trip. We were also impressed by the quality of the gifts Santa was giving out, they had taken the trouble to ensure gifts not only suited each childs age but also gender.

10/10 to The Watercress Line

Glad you had a nice day out Pa, not been on a Santa special in a while, though we don't have a nice 9F to pull it on our local Caledonian Line.
Been gardening for over 65 years and still learning.
