Aw, gee thanks Tiggs, but no help needed, just wanted to get it off my chest as no sympathy at home - so what's new?!

Try hidden storage when you fix it.

False wall, hatch in the floor to a plastic box sunk in the ground, false floor, false ceiling.

Or try the Ank-Morpork method of catching a thief.

Thanks Compo, yes, you're quite right, it is only the locked sheds that seem to be targeted and I really should have known better. It was just the novelty of actually having a shed and a lock. It just went to my head in a moment of madness.
Peter, don't think I'll bother with the hidden storage thanks, just want somewhere warm and dry, out of rain or blistering sun (yeah, right!) but, dare I ask? The what method of catching a thief?

Need to read Terry Pratchett.

"Set a deep pit with spinning knives, spikes and snakes to catch a thief." :?

An ironic take on "Set a thief to catch a thief."

Ah, right, could do the deep pit bit as the floor isn't laid yet and it's just wet mud, but, as the footprints across my seed beds lead me to believe that the culprits were youngish I don't think I have the heart to go for spinning knives etc. They may yet learn the error of their ways. Or not.

Sorry for all the watsit about your shed. It is bloody annoying. I know, it's happend to me on several occasions.

I don't lock the shed or greenhouse at all. One of the blokes locks his shed but it looks like there's no way in or out. No handles on the door or anything. Don't know quite how he does it but it's clever. His shed looks like a large box.

We had visitors the other night cos Grocks husband caught them. All 15. He only managed to keep hold of one but what can you do? They didn't seem to be doing any damage. Just moving things around.

What for, I don't, and never will, understand. Personally, i'd set the flame thrower on them.
Lots of love

That's just sad
I really do think they should get into trouble for doing things like that.
Mind you when you see some of the parents at school you see why they are like they are :?
What about startegically placed rakes?

Screws Lizzie, that's apparently what's used on a doorless shed. The panel is screwed on or off every time but I would imagine it's a lot of hassle.

I'm beginning to feel glad we're banned from having sheds as at least we don't get this kind of grief.
