The danger when people start to believe their own publicity is that they often fall off their own ego.
At least travelling under the guise of the Pa Snip Enterprise gives me an excuse for appearing to be on another planet

Do not put off thanking people when they have helped you, as they may not be there to thank later.

We shall remember them.

I went to the Western Front twice a year [Western Front Association ] for some 30 odd years. The Menin Gate Ceremony never failed to move me emotionally.
As an ex-serviceman I donate very heavily to the Poppy Appeal each year and although a little late in the day it is still possible.
I urge people to do so.
I am not used to praying but when praying for our fallen please pray for those of our enemies who fell because wars are fought by politicians and most of our enemies were conscripted men who were law abiding and peaceable and didn't want to go to fight.
Well will remeber them all.

Well said Johnboy. Nobody is left unscathed by war, no matter which side they are fighting on and later generations suffer because people who should have been who should been there as part of the family scene are reduced to photographs in an an album

Just read in the Daily Mail of "Support The Heroes" charity raised £3 million pounds but only £250.000 forwarded. As an ex National Serviceman I know what I would like to do to the people who run this charity. Unfortunately it cannot be printed.

Shallot man. Does it give a reason why so much of the money is being held back?. I fear so many charities end up being very high on executive expenses . I do hope this is not the case here
