Beryl, I almost had to dig to Australia to get the last of my parsnips out so that patch of soil has had a good turning! . Considering we have rather stoney soil in which parsnips really shouldn't thrive, they always do well and I rarely end up with forked roots.
Well done Primrose, That patch should need any more digging then.
