help with outbox

Hi, can you help with a pm problem. I have got a message sitting in my outbox and its been there since Monday. Why wont it send and what can I do

Your message is sitting waiting to be collected. It isn't sent like an email; until it's picked up it just sits there and when collected will move to your sent file. It's caught us all out in the past few months.

I've had one sitting there for so long it had becaome irrelevant, so I deleted it. The potential recipient will never know.......
