Happy new year everyone!

As a newbie I really look forward to lots of advice on the year ahead.

By the way, does anyone have a cure for a stinking hangover.........

I always used to drink a pint of water before i went to bed and take another pint up with me.....but that's not of help if you already have the hangover.....

Good advice.... I did drink a pint of water before bed... When I say water, I mean wine (which is 76% water..... And was home grown so it doesn't count )

Good to know that some others are happy to admit to drinking too much, I'm a regular boozer but I neither get pissed or a hangover. If there are any councilors amongst you please advise please help with my habit of emptying a bottle of wine. Well mostly and recently, I just love a few glasses whilst I'm cooking and eating and I can just about afford it.

I recently did some internet research on things we eat and drink that are carcinogen, frightening. Yet not one pharmaceutical is a carcinogen.

Pawty, I was new to greening three years ago and still regard myself as a novice on the basis of making regular mistakes and there are many crops I have yet to perfect or even try but the crops I grew always grew well because I put effort into the soil rather than regarding it as an established growing medium.

It's mostly, but not all, about the soil.

Welcome to his very friendly forum Chloe, quite few keen cooks with interesting ideas. I bake bread, I throw a lot away in my effort to get to where I want to go. Still a novice gardener but I'm all ears.

Welcome Chloe!

I'm big on growing & cooking! (Both with varying degrees of success at times). I hope you enjoy browsing Readers Recipes & contribute!

I say it to everyone new on here, but don't be afraid to ask any question that you want on the forum & even if you post in the wrong place doesn't matter as the KG fairy puts it in the right place. We've all started at some point so understand the angst of not being sure & you will either get pointed to an earlier post or a load of wonderful answers to review.
