So, I can put my P.F.A.'s in the ground now. That will more convenient than leaving a patch ready for sowing at a later time and on the Pembrokeshire spuds I couldn't find any seed potatoes though I didn't go out of my way or look that hard.
As this will be my first time growing spuds I'll go with what I have now but thanks for the nudge. I'm also growing Caulis for the first time this year, it'll be under netting with carrots and Kale.
The log stores are finally filled to the roof even though I still have two stumps to cut down and cut up that would make two cubic metres, this means I can get on with my gardening. Last years sowing of Hungarian grazing rye in two beds has rotted down with zero signs of what was growing, I was concerned I was introducing more grasses though the usual weed explosion hasn't occurred in those two beds.
Another new raised bed has had a weed explosion, it took me only half an hour to burn the tops with my propane torch. Other beds that had this treatment show less and less annual weed explosion.
For the first time ever I bought Perlite for mixing in to my seed compost, I always wondered what those little white blobs were.
What a lovely time of year, particularly on a sunny day all the birds are twittering, lambs calling the ewe, the ewe calling back and it's fun watching lambs playing just like puppies.
How are you supposed to start and maintain a healthy lifestyle if it completely removes a wine lover’s reason to live?
