Well I won't dampen anybody's enthusiasm by saying that from now on the days start to get shorter again.
What nice weather for your holiday OH !
The weeds will be having fun and games in your absence and you can burn off all those extra holidays calories digging them up on your return.

Well i'm back from a most wonderful holiday, we had dry weather everday and it just rained once one night. But here, back at Milton Bryant, it is now chucking it down.....
At the back of the house where we stayed in Broadstairs, was the most charming little allotment site, (six plots maybe). Anyway, i went and had a chat with three of the plot holders, and what wonderful people they were too.... so if you do pop onto the forum, Stanley, Christine, or the other lovely lady that i have very rudely forgot your name, well, just a big thank you for the lovely chat and offer of plants and raspberries.
I went to the, Secret gardens in Sandwhich, and i hate to say it, but i was really disappointed, no neatly edged lawns, big gaps in the borders and lots of weeds. There are three gardeners so it's not as if it is understaffed. A nd when aked why the tearoom wasn't open, we were just told, they open when they feel like it. So since this garden has been on the television i thought it rather a bad show...
But all in all, a wonderful holiday.

Dear Donedigging, thank you for your kind words.
Regarding the catching up, i must admit everything doesn't look too bad, but i did work really hard to weed everything before i went, so i think that has really paid off. I'll be busy harvesting lots of things tomorrow though....
