Thank you for those kind words OH, the cheque is in the post.
A quiet day is planned, possibly involving a four or five hour dog walk.
Son came back from Uni for my birthday meal on Saturday, Indian - very nice. His car's gear change stopped workimg on the way, so on Sunday I was a Taxi.

Slightly belated Happy Birthday. Beautiful day for a walk if you are anything like us, underfoot could be a bit dodgy mind.
Spent much of the morning with Openreach engineer as my 2 Mbps broadband had dropped to 0.14. He's got it back to normal but I'm not totally convinced, thinking it will drop when the wind comes back and starts rattling the cables about again.

No chance, got to Hatfield Forest, on foot and the rain started with light drizzle and ended as we reached The Flitch Way to return home.
Didn't quite get to torrential, but we did have the delight of warm sunshine, diagonally from three miles off, combined with really cold medium rain from directly above. Sunshine reflecting off the hazel coppice boughs all sparkly.
The towpath was covered in places by silt mud washed in from the surrounding marshland, tricky going for me, nearly went a over t several times, Max is 4paw drive and doesn't give a tinkers cuss. Sally stayed at home next to her pet radiator.
