In my day job I've been dealing with gaining access between two national networks. A pan-government one my employer uses and the "national" NHS one.

All come to a temporary impasse because we are English, but have a site in Wales and to the English NHS, Wales is a foreign country, from which you are not permitted to access their systems.

Perhaps Plaid Cymru have a mole in the English NHS working on perceptions this side of the border.
Do not put off thanking people when they have helped you, as they may not be there to thank later.

I've been doing some research among locals and it emerges that it is definitely England that is abroad
