Plum problems

My plum trees are now about 15 years old.
The Czar is prolific and broadly problem free.
This year the Coe's Golden Drop has borne much more fruit than usual but there are two issues.
Firstly most are rotting before they ripen.
Secondly something got into the blossom because this is the result.

Same problem here Stephen.... not sure what is causing the bad bit inside! re-garding the rotting, most of the bad ones have been on the south side of the tree, so i'm wondering if they have been scorched by the sun.....

My tree is south-facing so certainly scorching is possible for the rot-before-ripe.
I'm sorry your plums are suffering like this. Utterly useless apart from as compost

What a shame Stephen ! Arn't there even enough good parts of the individual fruits to cut them off and stew & freeze for using in fruit compotes? Or using with breakfast porridge?

Well, a shame to waste the good bits if they have a nice flavour. Good to get some sunshine vitamins in food in mid winter !
