Is this mildew?

Can't identify that mould? Got a great tip for keeping slugs at bay? Suggestions for organic weed control? Post them here...

Should I spray against this?

Certainly looks like powdery mildew. Just for experimenting I made a homemade spray last year tried it on my courgettes. They get it every year but so late it doesn't bother me as fruit is pretty done by then, (& I'm overwhelmed), but was interested. It didn't work as you are supposed to spray weekly but the plant I mucked around on did not go all brittle like the others but the mildew was still obvious.

Recipe if interested is 1 tablespoon of Baking Soda, 1/2 tea liquid soap in 1 gallon of H2O. In fact your post is quite timely as I had forgotten about it & did want to try it from the start before they got it, I haven't got it yet so may have another experiment.
