RE: chitting seed potatoes

Can't identify that mould? Got a great tip for keeping slugs at bay? Suggestions for organic weed control? Post them here...

Been chitting some international kidney for about two and half week, about 3/4 have gone wet and moisture is bubbling out
and running down into the egg tray and turning black, they are also going very soft, I have always chitted them the same way,
would appreciate any info. I've never had any problem before. thanks Jeff

Are they certified seed potatoes, if so I would return them from where you got them for replacement, they are clearly not going to be any good.
Been gardening for over 65 years and still learning.

Dear Jeff,
the potatoes sound as though they have tuber blight. Take them back and get some more from somewhere else.
