Absent Gooseberry Sawfly

For the first time since I have lived here, there is not a sign of the sawfly larva on the gooseberries this year.

Is it just me being lucky this year, or is there a general lack of them?

Evening PJ, we are very lucky here, as we never seem to suffer from sawfly, so i can't really help with your question.

What mine are suffering terribly with though is, mildew, the bushes are covered in it, including the fruit

Evening OH,

Lucky in some ways and unlucky in others then

I don't seem to get the mildew problem down here. Not on gooseberries anyway :)
