This past week or so I am finding brown lines or spots in the potatoes when I'm peeling them, what could the cause be?, they are stored in hession sacks in boxes in the cold shed, they don't smell and not soft as in rotting. Any suggestions would be helpful.

It may be spraing - do the brown lines radiate from one point (like rings in a tree, but curlier?). It seems to be in the soil, I think it is spread by some kind of nematode, you either have it or you don't. I've known organic farms where it is a major issue in one field but not the next.
