Thank you for ALL your kind words P.J. :)

Dear Nature's Babe, i would hate to be a bad influence on you, but Devon does sound very tempting. :)

Glad you had a good time - next time you're down will try to meet up and show you some of the good spots around here. The places geared for the tourists are great but there are some hidden gems as well. Near Corfe Castle there is a private beach they open in the summer for a few weeks and it is full of rock pools which are dino prints and they are full of critters -keeps the kids (& me) enthralled for ages - I found a great big octopus one year. You drive through the maize to get to it and there are goats on the beach with you being nosey looking for the picnics.

Then a cream tea in a nearby village afterwards were the local ladies make all the cakes and serve it in the village hall only open for a couple of hours on the weekend. You won't find these in the tourist guides.

Welcome home old chap.

Lovely horizontal rain here earlier, followed the hours of vertical rain while we sorted the.base & access path for a 12' square storage shed. I managed to bag tractor driving duty with the tipping trailer, while Mark drove the 2ton digger. Nice dry cab for each of us, though I spoilt it by using the trailer as an impromptu ladder to unblock a gutter. :?

That sounds wonderful, Westi, i love all the non tourist type of thing, i'm not one for following the crowd, although you might have realised that already. :)

Cheers Peter, did you manage to get the base prepared?
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

Welcome back, OH, and glad you had a good time. Should get a bit livelier again now on the Forum! Everybody has been quite subdued in your absence.

Maybe you do go on a bit, but in gardening terms you're wildflower meadow seed mix. :D

Yes, thank-you, we did, shuttered, hardcored, type-1 blinded and ready for ready-mix, even concreted in a drain for the pre-existing gully by the clubhouse backdoor.

8am to 3pm, half hour sandwich lunch, seven volunteers and a free laundry come shower. :D
