It's never stopped here in Lancashire. I would like some time to work in the garden without getting wet.

Had some good heavy showers through the night, hopefully it will have got into the ground a little!

Just hoping it doesn't split the root vegetables, where they take the water up too quickly.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

We've had some rain overnight, but not nearly enough though :(

Still need lots more before I can stop watering. We can quite often see banks of rain cloud dropping their load just a few miles away, but they seem to miss this corner.
Cheers PJ.

I'm just off down the greenhouse. I won't be long...........

Fingers crossed down this way - looking good so far for some decent rain Sunday afternoon and overnight. Nipping down first think tomorrow to scrape back some of the mulch to get the water direct into the soil then will whip back down tomorrow and put it all back when it stops as doesn't look like too much following next week.

Hope we get some of that although not so heavy that it batters everything down.

Here's wishing you all a good soaking today - unless you're in Scotland and already wet enough.

It was lovely and sunny when I got up, but I've spent too long on the computer and now I'm ready to go outside it is "chucking it down".

The weather forecast said that rain would reach us by 1pm and it started with us a 12.30pm and it has rained steadily all afternoon. But not heavily so this will be better for the plants. But my allotment plants are just so slow to get going as it is so cold. I wish it would warm up.

For us the forecast was correct, it has persisted all day! Good for the giant pumpkins we planted yesterday for our pumpkin competition :D :D
Kind regards,

Elle
