Folks
I have recently found the met office Invent site which shows graphic views of the weather.

http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/pws/ ... eathermap/

This showed today why my town missed the forecast heavy rain shower. - It missed us a few miles to the north.

Just tried your suggested link - looks good. I just hope they are right about the possible rain forecast from next Wednesday onwards, because we really need it. The current strong N/NE/E wind is so drying for the newly planted things and seedlings.

Well, from what i've been able to find out, it's looking like the weather for Glastonbury should be a goodun. So sunscreen is packed for my delicate, burn prone skin. Bottle opener and corkscrew is on a chain to go around my neck. A girlie needs to be prepared to open anything whilst waiting for the bands to start playing. Tony Benn, the MP, is there doing one of his one man shows so looking forward to that. Fishermans Friends are playing too and I am partial to a sea shanty.
Lots of love

The raintoday website is interesting too and you can see what is coming.

Hi Plumpudding -

I was using the rainfall map on Saturday to see if the heavy rain shower forecast for 16.00 here in Gloucestershire would come. It was fascinating to see that a large rainstorm developed over Milton Keynes spread north as it got larger then drifted west. We had 10 seconds of heavy rain drops at about 16.45 but that was all. it missed us by just a few miles towards Cheltenham.

On Sunday it showed a rain area South around Bristol.

When will we get some?

Sounds like a few shandies will be in order, to get the community singing really going ;)
