Morning OH

I think we have escaped the touch of frost here.

Should be a fine day today - shopping trip to Waitrose - then we are promised at least four days of rain :) and increasing wind :( , with thunderstorms for Friday

Frosty here at 06:10, quickly burnt off by the bright sunshine.

Everything is dry as a bone here - glad the cold wind has dropped, but it is still not really warm unless you are directly in the sun. Too cold to have the doors open today :( I hope we get some rain at some point, but I don't think we have any on the horizon. I wrapped everything up last night as we were predicted a frost, but it didn't seem to materialise :D .
Kind regards,

Elle

My seaweed is trying to tell me something is going to happen, how exciting if it's going to be rain. :)

Dry as dry can be here again. Not a cloud in the sky. The wind has dropped a bit though, which is good news.
Still far too cold for my liking :)

Rumour of some showers later today and tomorrow, but I don't think they will happen :(
Cheers PJ.

I'm just off down the greenhouse. I won't be long...........

Five days of rain forecast here - starting soon by the look of the dark clouds overhead.

We still haven't had any rain either here in S.E, but under the mulch it is still nice and moist, and stuff is growing well.

Sorry, Shallotman, we've tried to send it your way, but the powers that be have decided it goes north. You have to wait till the French send some your way on Sunday.

It was raining this morning :D

Ok, so it was feeble, and didn't make the slightest bit of difference but it was rain.

Now, I hope I win the lottery, and we have a superb summer... 8) 8)
Kind regards,

Strange old day. Still the cold dry wind this morning. Lightest of showers at lunchtime then it went really warm, above 20. Rain came back in a half-hearted way this evening.
As it had turned damp decided to vote. Perhaps I should have voted Green, they might have done something about the 11 mile drive voting entails now they have closed our local polling station. Confused by the AV voting slip, expected to able to put a 1 and a 2.
To digress. Anybody got the "Countryfile" calendar? Noticed anything odd about this month's picture? Ours is on the kitchen wall opposite the back door so when the door is open I see it from a distance as I walk up the path to the house, that's a clue.

1mm of rain here yesterday and about 2 spots per square foot this morning! Wow! But the swifts are back and REAL rain is forecast, have to be positive .....

The thermometer rose to 23 degrees today and all the bedding plants spent their full first day outside but I brought them into the greenhouse tonight in case we really get a torrential downpour.
