Primrose. That brought back memories, only told my Dad once that I had been canned. Got a clump, him saying, you must have deserved it. As you said. Those were the days.

Things started badly when I went into Northampton to return a Christmas present bought for my OH's granddaughter - I traipsed around all 4 floors of Debenhams looking for a Customer Service point or something similar, only to discover that there's no such thing any more. :?

Then I went to Boots and they refused to sell me a product I needed because I'd used a similar product within the last few months (and was stupid enough to be honest about it when asked)! They said I would have to get a prescription from my doctor.

Obviously, I headed straight to Superdrug, where I wouldn't make the same mistake again. Pre-warned, I passed the first test, but then the assistant asked if I would mind telling her how old I was. Now, I'm not particularly coy, but I suspected a trap so asked her why. Turns out that she hadn't to sell the product to anyone over sixty. Believe me, as I'm still in my forties, that didn't go down very well!!! :(

The rest of my day in town was much the same, so please can someone post something funny to cheer me up? Pretty please?

Thanks, OH. I knew I could rely on you hahaha that was funny

My experience is thwt cats don' usually go for prickly Rose beds. They're intelligent creatures who aim straight for those nice freshly dug and hoed areas, and if they've just been newly sown with seeds the "poop" satisfaction rate is at its highest.

Believe me, I,ve had two of the little devils over the years and you can almost see the smug grin on their faces as they "go" .
