Normally, on our site, we do not suffer a lot from theft of produce, sheds broken into and tools taken, midless vandalism yes, but they usually leave the veg alone! This summer has been totally different, we have had all sorts of stuff taken, most annoyingly, be people who know veg. Spuds neatly dug up, cabbages and courgettes neatly cut off, beetroot with the tops twisted off. The amazing thing is they must be doing it in the dark, as our site is on a busy road and overlooked by houses. My son is looking over my shoulder as I type this, and has suggested any number of horrible booby traps as a deterrent, if Only!!
